Completion of Requirements to begin Construction

After nearly six years of preparation, the Board of Directors of the Crescent Sanitary District would like to announce the completion of the requirements to begin construction of the Crescent Sanitary Wastewater Treatment Facility.

The Board, with the help of Anderson Engineering, has awarded the contract to Bob’s Excavating of Klamath Falls, OR to complete construction of Phase 1 of the project. Phase 1 consists of the following: Clearing of land, excavation of wastewater treatment ponds, and completion of treatment facility and irrigation areas. Expected construction will begin early November and continue (as weather allows) with completion of Phase 1 scheduled for early next summer.

Phase 2 consists of the following: Completion of collection system for all residents and businesses within the District. Plan approvals and permits for Phase 2 will be completed over the next few months, and construction is scheduled next spring (as weather allows). Completion of the entire system is expected by August or September of 2019.

The Board thanks everyone who has worked so diligently to bring this project to our community. A Ground Breaking Celebration is scheduled for 2 p.m. on November 9, 2018 at the Crescent Community Center. The Public is invited to attend.
